Lush Shampoo Bars

There isn’t much at Lush that I haven’t
tried. I love their vegan, animal cruelty free products and there determination to help save our planet.
One of my Favorite items that they make are their shampoo bars. I’m not going to lie, at first I was skeptical and almost put off by the idea. But since taking my first one home I have been hooked.
These travel saviour bars can last as long as x3 250ml shampoo bottles! Without the waste and come in 6 different scents and treatments.

I have tried 3 different bars and my favorite has to be Honey I Washed my Hair. This one is for sensitive skin and dry scalps, both of which I have. It has a sweet honey scent with added bergamot – natures antiseptic. Out of all the bars I’ve tried this one last the longest and doesn’t crumble. This also feels the most moisturising and foams really well. I could probably go without conditioner with this one. As you can see from the photo, I have my back up!

Lullaby is a dreamy lavender scent Percy for relaxing at the end of the night. Foams well and leaves hair lovely and smooth. I’m still testing this one out, but it like it a lot.

Jason and the Argan Oil‘s scent is my favorite of the lot. It’s predominately rose scented. Though foams well, this one is not greatest for travelling. This one tends to dissolve quicker and does have the tendency to crumble.
All of these bars make hair smell beautiful and it lasts too! Even after a day or so you can still smell them in your hair.
These products come without packaging, so I also purchase the lush tins priced at £2.50. The bars cost £ 5.95 each, considerably less than 3 bottles of shampoo. As they are a bar they need to be left to dry out after use so I just leave mine with the lid off until I can see that it is dry.
You can shop the entire range here.

A short post today I know, but I have lots coming up, they just need to arrive and be tested first!!

  1. Aloha beautiful,

I really enjoyed reading your post. I have never used shampoo bars but have heard a lot about them. I found a hair care routine that worked for me (I posted an article on this on my blog). but I am always on the hunt finding great natural products.
