You know when you see one of those products that you just have to have, regardless of how practical? Well this was one of them. This is the Illamasqua Lava Lips limited edition lipstick in Activist £19.50
When you swatch this it is actually a beautiful fuschia/purple colour. However I’m not too sure what the colour will be when you hit the blue green swirls!
I also picked up one of their Sketch Sticks in Free £15 this is a multi purpose product and I really want to use it with a brush as winged liner! I just love the cornflower blue!
The sketch sticks come in so many gorgeous colours I think I will pick up more, I especially love this orange one!
Hope your all having a lovely day!
It’s one of my Favorite places in the world, I love getting tattoos, I’m filling my leg up fast and I love it.
Ever since I was a gothy 13 year old I’ve dreamt of being tattooed. I got my first the day I turned 18 and haven’t stopped since. Thousands of pounds down the line and I still can’t stop.
It’s expression to me, it shows who I am. It makes me more interesting and they are a conversation starter. They are beautiful and permanent.
They are eclectic like myself. I have meaningful ones – ones I spent hours deciding what words I would have marked down. Others are there simply because I liked them.
My leg has been a creative journey, me and my artist have spent over a year now. Designing and creating my hybrid animals. And I adore it.
It isn’t for everyone, and not everyone will like what I have. But to me they are an extension of myself both creatively and physically. I personally have only ever had positive experiences regarding them and I’m happy that the world is so much more accepting of them nowerdays.
I cannot thank my tattooist Sofie for all the work and time she has put in. Another 4 hours worth added today! She is a true artist and is award winning for a reason. You’ve made my leg gorgeous and I can’t wait for more!
Do you guys have any tattoos? I’d love to see!
I adore red lipstick. To me a red lipstick is the epitome of chic and always makes me feel super confident and will always lift my spirits a little. I have quite literally a draw full. But here are my a few of my ultimates.
So lets get to it! ( spoke of in order of picture – left to right)
1. YSL Rouge Volupte Perle #111- Mysterious Red £26.00
This dark vampy red is so glossy and smooth its gorgeous. this lipstick is luxury at its best, With a SPF 15 and a blend of caring and nourishing ingredients it glides on the lips like butter and would never dry your lips out.
2. MAC Viva La Glam I £15.50
Another vampy one but this time with a matte finish. To me this shade is so iconic. With red lipstick enthusiasts like Dita Von Teese and Gwen Stefani as its fans this is a lipstick that every red lover should have in there hands. the matte finish means it stays on forever although a good lipbalm is needed so not to feel the drying effects. with all the proceeds going to the MAC Aids Fund, it also does a fantastic good deed when you buy! Guilt free lipstick!
3.Clinique Chubby Stick in Two Ton Tomato £17.00
This is more of a tinty balm. Perfect for if your not brave enough to go out in a statement red or want a toned down red for everyday. I love this. I have also been known to use this on cheeks as an emergency blush! As you can see mine is well used!
4. MAC Russian Red £15.50
Another matte finish but this time a more blue based red. this is perfect for the snow whites like me out there! makes teeth look whiter lasts all day, what more could a girl want!
5.Dior Doirific #014 – Dolce Vita £27.50
Dita Von Teese states this to be one of her favorites. Its the classic pin up red, a vibrant blue based lipstick it is super creamy with a satin finish and has the scent of violets! that’s enough for me to love it. It is pricey but the packaging sure looks beautiful on a dressing table. Reminiscent of the lipstick packaging of the past.
6. Revlon Colourburst #035 – Candy Apple £7.99
This is very similar to the Clinique Chubby Stick mentioned earlier but at nearly £10 cheaper. The only difference being these are glossier as opposed to satiny. I love these little lip butters, super smooth! In fact the entire range is beautiful! (also check out colours Macaroon and Berry Smoothie!)
Heres the swatches (also as mentioned, left to right) , have a wonderful weekend!
The start of last year was when my skin looked the worst it ever had uneven, acne covered and I’ll textured. I felt the most uncomfortable with my skin, I had never felt so self consicious. It was then that I decided I was going to take action to visably improve my skin and I was prepared to pay to improve it.
After watching and reading countless reviews I decided to just take the plunge and purchase a clarisonic. I chose the Mia 2 for its small compact size that makes it easy to travel with. I also chose it in my favourite color baby pink. The price of this device came in at £125, they do however they have newer designs on the market at various prices.
Despite the initial cost I can honestly tell you it’s the best thing I have ever purchased for my skin. The Clarisonic Mia comes with 2 speed settings and a pulse motion to let you know when to swap area on your face (20 seconds nose and chin, 20 seconds forehead and 10 seconds on each cheek) this 1 minuet facial cleanser will change your life!
So I suppose I should get to how this changed my skin. The clarisonic states to clean 6 times better than just using your hands and improve texture, brightness and overall appearance of your skin. And it honestly does do just that from day 1 my skin looked visibly clearer. 1 week in noticeably less blackheads. Thats when things went bad. The second week in I went through the spot stage and my skin looked worse than before. This is because of the purging process. Dirt from lower skin layers is pushed to the surface though the deep cleansing process causing you to break out. However you must push through this awfulness and continue using! A month into use my skin had cleared and my skin was much brighter and little bumps and uneven texture cured.
A year down the line I use it less now. Due to the fact that I need it less and it being quite harsh on my sensitive skin. I used to use it once daily when my skin was at its worst, I now only really use it once or twice a week still religiously. The effects still as great! I can truly say that I am comfortable in my skin now. Something I could have never said before.
The Clarisonic comes with a delicate brush head for all skin types. However you can purchase other heads such as a deep cleansing one or a brush for sensitive skin – They need to be changed roughly every 3 months. So if one feels to harsh or gentle for you try another style of head or use it slightly less. It is quite harsh especially if you have sensitive skin.
I use my Clairsonic whatever cleanser I am currently using however I make sure it is gel based and not cream. At the moment I am using it with the Simple Refresing Cleansing Wash. Super cheap and works with it great.
If you are in a complete rut with your skin and can find nothing that works. I really would consider using a Clarisonic if you can afford it, it really does work. Drugstores now offer similar alternatives to the Clarisonic at much more affordable prices, however I cannot state if they work the same or not.
Please leave comments! I love reading them!
Today’s review is on a product that has been a staple in my skincare for a long time. Origins Original Skin Serum. It’s been over a year now since this product hit the stands and I’m still loving just as much as I did all that time ago.
The texture of this light pink product is super smooth, it does contain silicone but I have not had any issues with this, the product does not cause other products such as foundation to roll or ball up. It is also lightly scented (a sort of rose smell). I do have rather sensitive skin but this does not effect me. In fact the smell is gorgeous and fresh, like all Origins products.
The Serum states to rejuvenate and brighten the skin in 5 ways with the use of 3 main extracts:
De-stress. Persian Silk Tree helps skin rebound.
Smooth roughness. Chestnut Seed Extract refines texture.
Delete dullness. Willowherb restores glow.
Shrink pores. Algae helps reduce oil to help them appear to vanish.
Minimize flaws. Blurs imperfections.
Over a year has passed of me religiously using this product, and I still adore it. The main reason being the effect it has had on pores. Even on first application my pores instantly looked smaller and my skin looked brighter.
A year down the line my skin is noticeably smoother, brighter and my pores still look diminished. Being 21 I can’t really claim it does anything to wrinkles. I use it both morning and night in my routine, and will continue to do so for as long as! I Highly recommend!
Origins Original Skin Serum is priced at £32.00 for 30ml and can be found here.
